Zapklare Brokken is een boek. Ondertitel: alles wat je moet weten over reclame. Dat is nogal een belofte, ja. Maar dan heb je ook wat. En wie schrijft dat eigenlijk? Hans van Dijk, tekstschrijver sinds een jaar of wat. Meer.
Ouderwets geniaal
Radio is misschien wel het leukste medium. Een paar mensen in een studio kunnen iets maken dat je eeuwig, niet overdrijven, lang bij blijft. Nu hoorde ik op de BBC (ouderwets op de middengolf) een geniale commercial om een programma te promoten. Na een beetje zoeken, heb ik ‘m gevonden, en gepikt:

Kleine toelichting: in het echt komt er nog een stukje gewone tekst achter, die verwijst naar het programma. Helemaal duidelijk is het mij niet, maar het zou kunnen dat het weer een “hommage” is aan iets anders. Dit lees ik op de site van de spreker: It’s a trail I recorded as a sort of homage to John Grierson’s read of ‘The Night Mail’ poem by W.H Auden by Ben Motley, for a famous old British Railways B&W film. This was recorded this week at Bush House for The BBC World Service, promoting: ‘Would You Kill The Big Guy’ which airs from 12th May.
